History
Set in the heart of Hampshire’s historic New Forest National Park., Woodlands is a privately owned charming Country House Hotel. The original house was built in 1550; however, it underwent extensive rebuilding in 1770.
The New Forest was 'created' by William the Conqueror in 1079. The building is reputed to have been owned by the Duchy of Westminster and used as a Royal Hunting Lodge.
The Woodlands has been sympathetically converted to a country house hotel in the 1950's, whilst still retaining the charms and character of an English country home. Set in 4 acres of private gardens the property has direct access to the New Forest on all sides making it the perfect location for exploring the National Park as well as relaxing.
